Guidelines to Parents/Guardians

Kindly check the haircut, uniform and punctuality of your ward in the morning.
Please see that your ward carries text / exercise books according to the time table for that day. No extra Books are allowed.
Kindly ensure that he/she is prepared for the tests. Also see his/ her Report-Card and teacher’s remarks in his/her class work/ homework exercise books and school diary.
Kindly inform the school if there is any change in the address or telephone number.
Encourage your ward to take a balanced interests in studies, co-curricular activities and sports .
Kindly restrict daily pocket money. Excessive spending should be discouraged.
Children should not bring crackers, transistors, cameras, calculators, mobile phones, scissors, blades and knives etc. to school. Bursting of crackers and playing with colors is liable to lead to expulsion of student from the school.
Your ward should be instructed to be careful about his/her possessions; there should be a name tag on blazers and sweaters. Expensive articles should not be brought o school.
Students are also not allowed to wear jewellery in school. In case of violation of this rule, the articles will be confiscated. The school bears no responsibility for articles lost in the school. In case of loss, a letter giving details of the lost item may be sent to the class teacher.
No Student will be allowed to go home without the written permission of the Principal / class teacher.
If you ward is absent from the school He/She must make up for all the work He/She has missed.
Parent’s attention is drawn to the fact that criticism of a school teacher in the presence of the child causes the child to lose his or her respect for the teacher and will hinder his or her progress.
Children must bring nutritious food in neat and well packed Tiffin.
They must bring a clean napkin and water in a clean bottle.
No tuition teacher are allowed to attend P.T.M. (Parents Teachers Meetings)
If parents are not local residential so the local guardians I.d. and photograph must be submitted to the school office and details should be mentioned in the school diary.

Guidelines to the parents (To Keep Their Child Healthy)

1.) All Parents are required to impart Health Education to their children so that they:

Maintain personal hygiene like trimming of nails, regular haircut and being neat regular.
Exercise regularly.
Sleep for at least eight hours daily.
Have a balanced, nutritionally rich diet.
Drink water which is either boiled or filtered. All students are advised to bring their own water bottles from home.
Avoid consumption of ice-creams, other milk products and eatables from road side vendors.

2.) Further, Parents must:

Deworm all children at least once every year. (Advice to be taken from their family physician)
Get their children’s Dental and Ophthalmic check up done every year by a Dental surgeon and opthalmogist.
Inform the Principal if their child is suffering from an infectious disease and not send their ward to school until the infectious period is over.
Ensure immunization of children as per the schedule given below.
a) BCG. b) DPT. c) Oral polio d) Measles /MMR
e) DT. at 5 years of age f) Typhoid. g) Cholera. h) Hepatitis.
j) Meningitis j) Tetanus-Booster to be given at 10th year and also to be given if injured.

3.) Students Suffering From:-

Diseases such as chicken Pox, Cholera, Measles, Mumps, Whooping cough and Jaundice mentioned under the heading “Absence” in the diary.
Infectious diseases like conjunctivitis, Dermatitis, Scabies etc. Should not be send to school.
Chronic Diseases like Asthma, Epilepsy, Rheumatic Heart diseases advised to be under continue medical supervision of a specialist doctor. History of the illness must be filled up in the diary along with the treatment being taken.

4.) Absence

Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the Rolls; readmission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee provided the vacancy still exists.
All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate before they join the class.
It is compulsory for students to complete 90% attendance in the year to make them eligible for the final examination. In case attendance is short the student will not be eligible for any academic Prize.
A child returning to school after suffering from an infectious disease should bring certificate from a doctor.
Students suffering from any one of the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class:
a) Chicken Pox-Till complete falling of scarabs. b) Cholera:-Till the child is completely well.
c) Measles:-Two weeks after the rash Disappears. d) Mumps:-Until the swelling has gone ; about one month.
e) Jaundice:- Six weeks f) Whooping cough – Six weeks.
